According to Gamesradar, In a recent post on the Manor Lords subreddit, Tim Bender, CEO of the game’s publisher Hooded Horse, explained that revealing a single price could lead to “misunderstandings” due to Steam’s regional pricing model.

“Manor Lords, like all other games on Steam, will not have one price. It will have regional prices that distribute across the world,”

Bender stated.

Another reason cited for withholding the price is to prevent unauthorized gray market key resellers from attempting to sell non-existent pre-order keys.

“They don’t have any keys, and they aren’t going to be getting any from us. But they are attempting to capitalize on the hype,”

the CEO warned.

While the exact pricing remains a mystery, Bender assured fans that the game won’t carry a premium triple-A price tag. “I don’t think people should be worried about price” since Hooded Horse has never set $60-$70 pricing and “has no current plans to do so.” He also hinted at a potential Early Access discount, a common practice for the publisher.

Addressing pricing concerns, the CEO stated,

“We’re not trying to squeeze every last dollar out of people. We won’t be putting up five editions with a spreadsheet needed to understand them or locking up content into Day One DLC or any of that crap. There’s going to be a fair price there at launch with a fair discount.”
