In the original Planet of the Apes timeline, Caesar’s origins can be traced back to Escape from the Planet of the Apes. Born to ape parents Cornelius and Zira, who had traveled back in time to Earth, Caesar (initially named Milo) was raised by a kind circus owner, Armando. After learning the truth about life outside the circus and witnessing Armando’s death, Caesar incited a rebellion among the apes, fueled by his hatred toward humanity’s mistreatment.
