Despite being nearly a decade old, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is currently one of the top-performing games on Steam, showcasing a remarkable resurgence in player interest. This surge in popularity is not limited to Fallout 4 alone, as the broader Fallout franchise, including Fallout 76 and Fallout: New Vegas, have also witnessed a significant increase in concurrent player numbers.
Fallout Games Experiencing a Resurgence
As per EuroGamer, the data from SteamDB shows, Fallout 4 has seen its concurrent player count more than double in the wake of the Fallout TV series debut on Prime Video last week. The game’s concurrent peak was less than 25,000 players just a week ago, but has now surged to over 50,000 concurrent players.

The trend extends to other titles in the Fallout franchise as well. Fallout 76 has tripled its concurrent player base, from around 13,000 players to over 40,000. Fallout: New Vegas, the critically acclaimed entry developed by Obsidian Entertainment, has quadrupled its concurrent player count, going from just 7,000 players to over 30,000.
