The Yule Log stream will be available on Max starting Nov. 14, providing a cozy, Harry Potter-themed setting for the holiday season.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter fans can also look forward to a new reboot series. With casting underway, rumors have emerged that Oscar-winning actor Mark Rylance may be considered for the role of Dumbledore, though nothing has been confirmed. Casting for the three main leads – Harry, Hermione, and Ron is expected to include young actors new to the franchise, making it a fresh start for Harry Potter on screen.

Although the future of Fantastic Beasts remains uncertain, recent comments from actor Eddie Redmayne and director David Yates suggest that the spinoff series is on pause. Redmayne noted,

“I think they probably have [seen the last of Newt]. That was a very frank answer, but yeah. And that’s as far as I know.” Similarly, Yates previously mentioned, “We made those three movies, the last one through a pandemic, and it was enormous fun but it was tough. We’re all so proud of [The Secrets of Dumbledore] and when it went out into the world, we just needed to sort of stop and pause, and take it easy.”
