tvN’s hit romance drama Queen of Tears has etched its name in the network’s history books with its highly-anticipated series finale. On April 28, the final episode of the Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won-starrer set a new record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved by a drama on tvN.
According to Soompi, the Queen of Tears finale scored an impressive average nationwide rating of 24.850 percent, easily surpassing the previous record of 21.683 percent held by the finale of the beloved series “Crash Landing on You” back in February 2020.
While Queen of Tears stole the spotlight with its record-breaking performance, it wasn’t the only drama to wrap up its run on April 28. JTBC’s mystery thriller “Hide” concluded with an average nationwide rating of 4.0 percent for its series finale.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” rose to a nationwide average of 15.2 percent for the night, and MBN’s “Missing Crown Prince” earned an average rating of 2.4 percent for its sixth episode.
