According to Gamespot,  In an interview with The Movie Dweeb, Troy Baker acknowledged the rumors that he is voicing the male lead in GTA VI, stating that while he considers it a compliment, it is not actually him.

“I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work, because I’m sure it’s going to be great. That’s a grind. Those guys pour themselves into those characters and they deserve all of the credit for their work,”

Baker said.
