According to a report by GameSpot, Ubisoft has confirmed that 45 staff members across its global publishing and Asia-Pacific teams have been affected by the latest round of layoffs. The company stated that this move is part of its efforts to “streamline operations” and adopt a “more efficient and agile approach” in response to market evolution.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Despite the cost-cutting measures, Ubisoft reported a slight increase in net bookings for the nine months ended December 31, 2023, with a 1.6% year-on-year rise. However, the company’s revenue saw a drop during the same period.
